Where do you draw the line on social media interactions with students? Why?.

I came across this post from a great blog that I follow called Slant33. If you’re a youth worker READ THIS BLOG POST! I think it is a fascinating look at social networking and youth ministry. One of my biggest pushbacks is that whenever I hear ministry leaders debating the pro’s and con’s of social networking, these leaders are all over the age of 21.

My point? We have adopted this technology. Our students have grown up with this technology. For example, D. Scott Miller says,

“Virtual relationships only hint at intimacy”

Really? Though I agree 100% that this is true for me, many if not most students would strongly disagree. Still, this is a great article with great thoughts by all three writers. What are your thoughts on the article?
